Third Quarter Report 2009

         Christian Senior Ministries would first of all like to thank all who participated in any way in this year’s “Walk For Seniors”.  As you know this is our major fund raising event and vital to the continuation of this ministry.  This year $12,553.83 was raised by this event, and again, we thank you!

This year, we combined the volunteer appreciation event along with the Walk For Seniors and it seemed to work well, but to encourage more volunteers to come out for the recognition we are considering having that portion of the event in the lodge next year.  It is important to recognize that the volunteers and supporters of CSM are the real heart of this ministry.

We are once again pleased to announce that our worship attendance to date has seen an 11% increase with an average weekly attendance going from 209 to 231 and we give God the glory.  We are also pleased to announce that our financial support has shown a 6 ½% increase over last year.  However, we need to be aware that even with this increase in support we could be facing a third year of not meeting our budgeted expenses.  But, as we are about to complete our tenth year of concentrated outreach ministry to our senior population, we can only rejoice!
