BUILDING COMMITTEE NEWS

September 9, 2004

Another week has past since our last update. The Building Committee had a 3½ hour meeting last night with the architect. We compiled the information from the surveys and the day long drawing sessions with the architects. All of those that visited the drawing days voiced opinions on the floor plans that they drew. Last night the layouts were refined to more detail to closer reflect the congregation’s wants. The architects will continue to work on them before the next meeting on the 16 th of September. The meeting will be at the church office at 6:00 pm.

Larson and Darby are conducting a presentation at their location on acoustics and lighting. The presentation is Thursday, September 9, 2004. Some members of the task forces are planning to attend.

The Land committee gave us some good news that the land passed the environmental test. Soil borings and tests will continue.

They met with the County head Mr. Miller and he told them the steps to follow to apply for a special use permit. We will have to have drawings to show the County to apply for our special use permit. The land is currently zoned agriculture.

The Finance Task Force met on Tuesday to discuss the insurance claim for 327 Ottawa. They reviewed updated schedules of both fellowship halls and started on the kitchen, Sr. Pastor’s office, Angela’s office, music room, and the tool storage area. They will meet Tuesday September 7 th at

7:00 pm at the church office. They will be starting on the Education, Nursery, and Library. The sanctuary and related areas will be reviewed the week of September 13, 2004.
