BUILDING COMMITTEE NEWSWEEK OF SEPTEMBER 16, 2004 The Building Committee met with the architect again this week. It was a very enlightening evening. They drew plans to correspond with what they felt the congregation was looking for. This time prices were attached to the various plans. The committee instructed him to go back and draw plans that were in line with the money we now have. He will return with the drawings next week. The building committee will meet with him again next week, Thursday September 23, 2004. After reviewing the renderings they will be presented to the congregation. We are working hard but have not made any decisions. An information Sunday will be held in the near future. The committee will give advance notice to the congregation. It was decided that in addition to the weekly summaries in the bulletin, information will be posted on the church website. Lori Bross will update the site soon. We will also put the weekly updates in the monthly newsletter. Once again if you have questions contact a building committee member. The Finance task met on the 14th and reviewed updated schedules for the fellowship halls, kitchen, Sr. Pastor’s office, Associate Pastor’s office, Angela’s office, music room, tool storage area, and Sunday school. Detailed information on the library significantly increased our documented loss. An initial review was started on the Sanctuary and related storage rooms. They have scheduled another meeting for September 28, 2004 at 7:00 pm. The plan is the present the information to the insurance company in early October. |
