Meet the Pastors
The Rev. Robert W. WeinholdPastor Weinhold was born on May 20, 1956 in St. Louis Mo. He was brought into the Lord’s Kingdom on June 7 through Holy Baptism. He attended the University of Missouri and then completed a B.S. in Business Administration at Valparasio University in 1978. Pastor Weinhold attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis graduating in 1982 with a Master of Divinity degree and in 1983 with a Master of Social Work in family from St. Louis University. He was ordained in 1983 and has served as pastor of congregations in Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Wisconsin and most recently in Dubuque Iowa.
He married his wife, Lisa, in 1982 in St. Louis. Lisa attended Lutheran high school in St. Louis and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oral Roberts University. She received her C.P.A. and enjoys working in accounting and taking care of the Weinhold household. The Weinholds have three children: Joshua, Rachel, and Caleb 17.
Pastor Weinhold has worked with the LWML as zone counselor, a homeless shelter, campus ministry, hospice program, as well as various circuit and district planning committees. He enjoys coaching youth baseball and has served as president of Dubuque Little League Baseball. He is enthusiastic about possibilities for ministry and to further the growth of God’s kingdom. He is ready and willing to help in any way needed.

The Rev. Marvin Metzger
Pastor Metzger graduated from Concordia University in River Forest, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. He pursued his theological studies at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and received the Master of Divinity degree in May 1990.
In 1991 he was issued a call to serve at St. John's in Sycamore, and continues to serve as part-time Associate Pastor.
Pastor Metzger and his wife Mary Jo also continue to farm. They are blessed with three children.
