Grief Share Support Group

Begins Wednesday, January 26 • 6:30-8:30pm

Need help dealing with grief? A Grief Share support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Grief Share is the #1 grief recovery program in the world.

Q: Is Grief Share for me? When a loved one dies, it can feel like you’re alone. Few people understand how painful and isolating your grief can be. But that doesn’t mean you have to suffer by yourself. At Grief Share, you’ll find a safe, comforting place where you can talk with others about your grief. You’ll find support, direction, and guidance on how to make it through.

Q: What topics are covered?

  • your grief journey
  • sadness and loneliness
  • fear and anxiety
  • anger
  • regrets
  • grief and your relationships
  • questions for God
  • hope and resilience
  • and many more!

Q: How will Grief Share help me? At this 13-week grief recovery support group, you will:

  • hear insights from grief recovery experts
  • meet others who understand what you’re going through
  • receive comfort and support
  • learn practical tips for navigating your grief
  • discover the 6 signs of healing

Q: What should I expect at a group? Each week you can expect to view a 30-minute video filled with helpful guidance, discuss grief-related issues, and gain personal recovery tips through your workbook.

We will meet on Mondays, January 26 thru April 20, 6:30-8:30pm here at Saint John. Please contact Deaconess Carol Brown at 815-895-4477 with any questions. Click here to register via the Grief Share website.
